Hello and welcome to dearestlilybean. Because I'm paranoid about my LJ accounts spontaneously being deleted, and all my fic data lost, I've migrated to IJ. Well, I'm crossposting all my fics to IJ, so I don't have to worry about losing them.

On LiveJournal My writing LJ username is dearestlilybean. I can guarantee that you'll see a fic up there before it's here, and that you may see massive amounts of fic here because I'll update only every so often. My (new as of March 2009) personal LJ is plumora.

Friends-Only vs. Public entries At this point, I think ALL entries will be posted public, EXCEPT any original fiction (including original prose and poetry), which will be friends-locked. I WILL have to friend you back for you to view these, so please be aware of that. Posts with fic that is R+ will not be locked. RPF will not be locked.

Tags I've created tags according to whether a fic is original or fanfic, and the subcategories of fanfic are RPF and regular, tradition fanfic.

Under cuts I've also decided that posts of 300 words or less per fic will be above a cut, because clicking a link to read 100 words is perhaps superfluous and wasteful of web energy. However, if you see a post with, say, four drabbles that are all above a cut and object, I will kindly put them under a cut. Writing that is R+, regardless of its word count, will be posted under a cut.

That is rule number one now, and the fine print below it reads Albus Dumbledore is most certainly in love with Gellert Grindelwald.

While Albus doesn't necessarily follow the rule or its footnote, he doesn't break them, either.

"Where's Gellert? You've run him off again, haven't you?"

"No. He ran off on his own. He was mumbling like mad about some papers or books or something."

Albus frowns. If Gellert had only told him -

"You're obsessed, Al."

"What? I am not."

But Aberforth glares at him poisonously, and Albus looks away because he knows, they both know, the truth. When Albus sees Gellert returning through the cool window he goes to the door without looking at his brother, afraid of shame. He can't reach the doorknob soon enough.

Gellert is trailing the books in the air behind him, and one-by-one the glossy, colorful leather-bound tomes follow him in a way that Albus understands - it is so easy to follow the blond. Gellert sees him and Albus, somehow, seems to melt in the hot summer sun and Gellert's warm and thoughtful gaze. Albus has a dim idea of calling Gellert's name out but maybe it's caught in the wind, because Gellert only smiles and smiles at him.

"Obsessed," Albus whispers to himself, "I am obsessed with Gellert Grindelwald."

Rule number two: the rules can change.

She leaves a deep yellow rose for Peter, because it reminds her of his lion's-mane golden hair.

Blood-red for Lucy, because it looks like her sister's cordial. Susan thinks maybe the similarly-colored rose will bring her back.

Off-white for Edmund, and she thinks it matches the color of his skin.

Except, she doesn't quite remember the color of Peter's hair, or Lucy's cordial, or Edmund's skin anymore. She can only guess.

(So she heeds the meaning of colors, buys a white and a red rose for herself, because she knows it means unity.)
